The outer shell fabric is 3 layer laminated which is waterproof up to 5000/mm and breathable 5000/gm along being windproof.
The liner is odourless and is a double sided thermal fabric that wicks the moisture away from the newborn skin.
With our ICU Small Animal Rugs you can place the rug on a wet newborn sooner the better not to allow their temputure to drop.
It doesn't hurt the rug at all and the birthmother still will be able to I.D. her off spring
